first day
yesterday was my first day of work. i'm working for a federal judge in the 2nd district and i was scared as hell. as i was walking towards the building was when i realized i never researched her and knew nothing about her..but it turned out just fine! it was actually the best first day of work I have ever had. the lawyer who is directly in charge of my assignments is so nice and friendly and remembers all the details that a new person would want to know.
the judge i work for is a tough bitch with a kind heart and i love her! we were in court yesterday and two attorneys were going at it and she stearnly kept interupting them and said no bickering in my court. then at the end she gave them this nice little speech, which was partly to embarass them but to really teach them a lesson. she was like i want both of you to leave here and step outside the box and honestly think about the case you have. i know you two can learn to negotiate together and be the great lawyers you truly are. hehe and she says it so sweet too! she knows exactly what she's doing and it's great!
i got my first case...i can't say much about it but it involves a boat that sunk.
the only ok part of the day was lunch break...that first lunch break where you know no one and don't know exactly what to do.... but it was a beautiful day in hartford so i just walked around and went down to the park.
start of day two: already have band aids on my heels...and i wear FLATS!
