Write On IS OVER

So this will hopefully be the last boring law school blog for awhile!
Yesterday I turned in a horrible paper for this competition. There was about 140 students competiting to get on one of the law school journals and two weeks ago they gave us 600 pages of material and said write a persuasive 20 page piece.
It got really competitive and boring as hell...BUT IT'S OVER!!!!!

It was the worst b/c the competition dates fell over 4th of july and my birthday. Luckily Im a bad student and still celebrated both, kind of.
Birthday i went out to the bar w/ some friends...nothing too crazy...the big birthday party is this weekend to make up for it.

4th of july i went to my parent's house to hide out and try to write, but ended up having a crazy experience. My parents had all the neighbors over and all the teenagers were doing fireworks and some neighbor who is really into it. All i know is that they had illegal ones that were very big and crazy....and one did not go so well!
Luckily no one got hurt but my parents have burnt siding, a big burnt hole in their picture window and bedroom window. So good no one got hurt and my mom was drunk enough that she somehow found it amusing that there was a hole in her big window! (The great twist is that my parents randomly ordered a new picture window about a week ago...so perfect timing for it to get ruined!) Hopefully I'll have pictures to follow!

So now even though I have to go back to my legal jobs...it seems like a vacation compared to the write on competition and law school!!! YAY FOR SUMMER!

1) Funny-that could have happened in my past life. We had a flaming Pappas grass once and a few holes burnt in shirts. There is an old saying about God watching ove children and fools. Looks like he was watching out over your fireworks.I hope you get a break before fall semester.
