the new do? Soooo first, I have been trying to grow my hair as long as I possibily could for the last 6-7 years....and I have been saying for the last x amount of months that when I actually become a lawyer I'll chop it off and get a professional hairdo.
(I'm actually getting kinda nervous writing this blog and I broke out in hives at the hair salon yesterday!)
But the story starts with Emily and I sitting on my couch in Hartford and her just mentioning that she wants to get her haircuit in Torrington when she leaves and I thought or she suggested that maybe I get my dead-ends trimmed.
I didn't even want to enter a hair salon because it has been so many years and I think it is a waste of money for trims.... but it was a hair school and really cheap.
I wanted my ends trimmed but somehow went in with an open mind, sat in the chair and the woman mentioned Locks for Love. In a minute notice that won me over and she was getting ready to cut off 10 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which she told me would still be shoulder length...turned out to be to my chin.
Final result: all my hair is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still don't know what I think and haven't styled it myself yet....either way it's already gone now soooooooo THAT IS THAT!
Thanks Emily for being the best moral support!

3) One thing about hair--it can always grow out again if you want it but maybe you will enjoy having less time required to care for it daily and you do look great with it like this. And it was a great cause!

11) My niece battled Ewing's Sarcoma through St. Jude for a year, and although Locks of Love doesn't donate to cancer patients, Cali did meet a few girls with alopecia, who were lucky enough to have wigs from them. It's an awesome organization, and you should be quite proud to have done what you did yesterday! I totally dig the new 'do, too!!

15) Looks good on you. I know how you feel about missing your long hair. I find my older friends prefer it shorter and my husband likes it long. I think it's actually more work shorter. Thanks for donating your beautiful hair. Good luck starting the new job too.

17) So cute, Amber!! I used to have looooong hair, and so I totally understand your missing the length. But it's so much easier to manage, and it looks so grown up!! Way to be brave and just go for it!!
