One Week!?!?

I am due to give birth to our first born one week from today! Where did the time go??
I feel like just yesterday we anxiously waited to see the results of the test:

And now here we are today!:

Where did the time go??
I can't believe it's almost time already. I'm excited but nervous too (trying to keep the nervous at bay).
We've gotten a lot done in preparation for our little guy...

A new glider courtesy of JDI and K8Day! (Thanks guys, you rock!)

Two newly framed photos to decorate the walls.

And an awesome new crib all decked out and just waiting for an occupant.

So I think this means we are go for launch!

1) Everything looks great! The quilt in the crib is beautiful--did you do that? I'm sure all will go well and you'll soon be holding that baby and wondering how it all went so quickly from this point on. We'll be waiting for the good news!

3) Thanks guys! No, I didn't do the quilt. I have a lack of talent when it comes to sewing. That was actually another gift from JDI and K8. They're making sure their nephew has some stylish stuff when he gets here ;-)

4) Sounds like their nephew has some great relatives! JDI and K8 will make an awesome uncle and aunt!

5) Don't be too nervous and don't listen to everyone else when they tell you their birthin' babies stories...People tend to exaggerate and everyone's experience is different anyway. All I can tell you is ours was no big deal at all. It's definitely natural to be nervous though, especially with the first because how do you know what to expect?

6) I was such a cute little kid..... its true, you can admit it.

also, yes, Joe and K8day will make great aunt and uncle (in that order bwahaha).... it just hit me the other day that they live so close, none of my family were in comfortable driving distance when i was growing up. and thats pretty much the same for amys family! we see them a couple of times a year. Im glad our kid will grow up with close family. not to forget yammasue close enough too!... Unfortunately ALL my family live in England still.

7) Mine too.
i just found out that me becoming a double uncle in the summer will actually be triple because my sister in law found out there are twins within. They'll overtake us in one go.

8) Joe and I are both so excited we cannot wait. Joe is so anxious he asked Ames if she had a phone tree ready for when it happens. We don't want to miss being there for our first nephew! Not too long until we get to meet the newest member of the family.

15) Good luck with the delivery (I'm a total chicken and it wasn't bad at all... but may I suggest epidural)! Can't wait to see that cute little guy.
