The Bucket List

We rented the DVD, The Bucket List, last night. It stars Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman as two men who are terminally ill. They are roomates in the hospital. Freeman has started a list of the things he wants to do before he dies. He gets discouraged and throws it down. Nicholson finds it. They decide to accomplish the things on the list together.

The name, Bucket List, refers to all the things you would like to do before you "kick the bucket".

1. Live and work helping orphans in China.
2. Work in the local soup kitchen.
3. Visit Egypt
4. Stop caring about how messy my house is....

What is on your Bucket List?

1) My co-worker's husband's brother is totally in that movie. He's one of the skydiving instructors. I think he's the one tied to Morgan Freeman.

Not sure about my list. The one thing I really want to do is a kickflip indy grab on a skateboard. Does that count?

2) I like your number two. For our November service project, my Student Council kids are working in a local soup kitchen. I think it will really affect some of them to see how others live.

I have a friend who used to work in a soup kitchen frequently. Her parents didn't want her to serve then go to a big, fancy Thanksgiving, so they would also eat their Thanksgiving meal there.

9) Go to Alaska (to see Sarah Palin) and Australia ( to hang out with an Australian beauty, ala Nichole Kiddman). Another thing that I would like to do is to visit Europe, esecilly to visit the beaches of Normandy, where my father and his comrades participated in one of the greatest risk ever taken by members of mankind.

15) RW-you never know what life is going to bring you. At your age I would have never thought I would have done the things I have done or married this wonderful man. Keep dreaming-dreams do come true!
