Sounds About Right

I emailed a fellow student asking about fairly simple process...here's his reply

go to registrar's office
get visiting student form
get it signed (ugh)
take it to graduate studies
leave it there until you have to call to bother them
go by there and bother them
go by there and bother them again and get it back signed
take it to uah registrar's office

And I know, without a doubt, it will happen just like that...unless I'm not demanding enough on one of my "bother" visits and have to add in another couple of those.

Sigh. Yay, for completely ineffective administration!!

;-). It will all be funny, one day.

Gotta love the structure of it all! I'm a good nag; I'll give you lessons if you need them. LOL

Reality revision:
go to registrar's office
get visiting student form
get it signed by your advisor
get it signed by the department chair
get it signed by the school dean
take it to academic affairs to be signed in the spot where it say academic affairs
be told to take it to the graduate school to be signed in the spot that says academic affairs for some unknown reason
take it to graduate studies and have someone look at you like you are speaking Jibberish before the fourth person in the office you talk to agrees to get the dean to sign it
go by there and bother them
go by there and bother them again and get it back signed
After it is finally signed by all of humanity take it to school's registrar's office to be processed
have folks in the registrar's office tell you to take it to academic affairs
have the folks in academic affairs tell you to take it to the graduate school
have the folks at the graduate school tell you that it HAS to go to academic affairs
tell the person in academic affairs that something has to be done. finally they decide that they actually do process the forms...well...Mrs. SO and so does anyway
Take it to Mrs. So and So
Pray that the form is not lost and you actually get registered for the class
