Short movie reviews
I watch quite a few movies. In fact its a bit of an addiction for me. In 2007 I kept track of a few details of my movie watching. I saw 43 movies at the theater. Spent $372 on tickets and 3 days 11 hours 43 minutes in front of the big screen. What does this qualify me as? Insane? The poster child for ass fatigue? Movie critic? Hmmmmm.
Well I do have an opinion. Oh and possible *Spoilers*

This past week end I saw two films.
Righteous Kill:
This move was just bad. An excuse to bring De Niro and Pacino together again is wasted on a story that just cant be saved by these two acting greats.
I had this "Mystery" figured out from the start and anyone who has seen their other acting combo movie Heat (a much better film) should also.
"Most people respect the badge. Everyone respects the gun." I can't respect this excuse to cash a paycheck." Shame.

Burn After Reading:
The Coen brothers follow up to last years No Country for Old Men Is nowhere near Oscar worthy but thats ok. Its full of great acting and characters that twist and turn through their absurd plots and schemes with no real clue who or why they're actually dealing with each other. It is a bit violent for a comedy with plenty of Fbombs sprinkled about and like No country has an ending that doesn't really wrap things up in your normal Hollywood way but it left me satisfied. So if you like any of the other Coen's films like Fargo or Oh Brother Where Art Thou? See this on too.

1) I love O Brother Where Art Thou. I don't know what provoked me to watch it but I saw the movie somewhere and have loved watching it ever since. It is actually where I have gotten my best Wife/Mother line:

"I have spoken my piece and counted to three."

They know I mean business then. Well, actually my hubby just laughs at me.

2) JDI and I saw Burn After Reading this weekend as well. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but hand my hands over my mouth in shock a couple of times. it was funny and surprising and so not your typical Hollywood tribble. Definitely worth seeing if you like that sort of thing.
