Blasted Bleepin' Neighbors
Who lives in your neighborhood?
Do you know? Do you care? Do you like them? Do they invite you to their parties? Do they watch the same sports on TV? Do they drink the same wine as you? Do they listen to your music? Offer you a beer in the driveway? Do you have the same kinds of jobs?
DO YOU CARE?
Hell no.
I'm annoyed.
So my neighborhood - I love it. My neighbors, no issues.
Damn thing is they have a website. The route of all evil. Let people randomly blog and, well we've seen what happens (here - ha). Anyway...
They rant and they rave about who does what and why, their are so many clicks, they want to list their house on the market, but housing is so bad blah blah blah....kiss my ARSE! Really? Life is so bad here you want to move? Of course, clearly E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E hates it here because you do, and you post to the website.
I want to EXPLODE at them.
But I don't. I come to tell you guys instead. Aren't you thrilled??
Here's the point:
My neighborhood is 5 years old. I have lived here for 4.5 of those years. That being said, I know the place pretty well in comparison to the "newbies". I don't know a single person on our street who has an issue with the 'hood. Also, I don't know a single person on my street that posts on the complaining board called a website.
So, I counted one day how many homes we have. (roughly 320). Of 320 residents/homes, only 140 have ever actually logged into the website. Of the 140 that have logged in, only 21 have ever officially posted a message. (by the way, there are duplicates - i.e. a husband and wife in the same household posting - thereby being 2 from the same of 1/320).
My kindergartener could do the math here. Hello?!?
It amazes me, that humans who are old enough and financially able enough to purchase $300k+ home can not figure this out.
You care what I think??? WHY? I don't care what you think! Get a grip! Live your own damn life. I'm having a BLAST living here and everyone else I know is too. If worrying about whether your neighbors like or agree with you is the biggest issue in your life - you clearly need a NEW one!
