6 Pounds - Bye Bye!

So far so good! 6 pounds in 10 days. That's a number I can live with. At that pace, I could be at my goal by Memorial Day. Holy glorious day that would be! I have this nagging voice in the back of my head saying, "good luck" - only in a sarcastic tone. I am trying not to vocalize those thoughts and lock the tiny jerk (voice) in a closet some where and torture him with brussel sprouts.

I think it has helped listening to your opinions and also the tracking of every thing - food, exercise, weight changes - on Calorie-Count.com. Sort of a way of holding myself accoutable, I guess. Sort of like that nasty picture that looks at me everytime I log in to blog. It's reality though, so I am glad it's there. I will cherish the day that I can replace it with a much better one!

4) That is great. I don't want to be discouraging... but I wouldn't expect it to continue to come off so quickly. Usually in the first couple of weeks, it's a lot of water weight that's coming off. Also, "they" say that if you lose more slowly you are more likely to keep it off. Weight Watchers recommends that people lose 1-2 lbs per week. And I think that is more realistic. But... definitely revel in your AWESOME beginning!

5) Good work! That's impressive. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale a couple weeks ago, and it said 215. That's the highest number I've ever seen (I usually hover between 205-210). So I have been half-heartedly trying to lose weight and get down to 200 or so. It's amazing how much better my pants fit when I'm 205 vs 215. Anyway, I lost a pound. So I'm on my way, right? Or maybe that was just how much my hair used to weigh before getting it cut. Hmmm...

If I ever get my weight to start with '1' again, it will be a glorious day. Party at my house.

6) Great job, keep up the good work! Your lose will begin to level out soon but pounds to me are pounds..

I was using Calorie Count for awhile. Then I made the mistake of starting to journal on there. Well, the mistake was actually reading others journals. They are kinda obsessive and I found myself getting that way so now I just try to log calories and that is it...

7) I know to expect it to taper off, but I only got this far by positive thinking, so I can't quit believing now!

Thank you all....

9) Have you tried sparkpeople.com? It's a great way to track what you are eating. It does all the work for you as far as counting calories, carbs, fat, etc. Plus it will plot a progress graph of weight loss for you and give you diet and exercise tips. There are also great low fat recipes on the site too.
Good luck and keep up the good work.

10) I like SparkPeople.com, but I find it a bit chaotic! Almost like they are trying to cram too many types of information into one site. Maybe I just don't "get" it yet....
