Save our Parks
Illinois lieutenant governor, Pat Quinn, has started an online petition to save our state parks. Governor Blagojevich has decided to layoff 450 state workers and close 25 historic sites and state parks. So with high gas prices, high airline fares, and tighter family budgets not helped by Blagojevich's higher taxes, families in Illinois no longer will have the option of visiting many state sites come November first.

Please visit http://standingupforillinois.org/saveourparks/index.php and fill out a petition to keep these sites open. Use a fake name or two or three if you really feel inspired. Last time I checked the views of the people were supposed to matter in this country.
