Deer Encounter
WARNING, GRAPHIC!
My friend, Garrett, hit a deer last year. It wasn't the first nor the last for Garrett. Garrett and deer don't get along so well. As you can see the deer hit the car hood, its head struck the windshield and came through. The head, now removed from the deer, came to rest on the floorboard after rolling off of the passenger seat. Garrett drove the car home as it was, went to bed, and in the morning had this video taken with a cell phone camera.

1) I have no idea why I watched this, but that was totally gross! Has he already hit another deer since this one? He should think about staying home more often. I'm not sure I could drive again for months if that happened to me.

5) Garrett has hit deer since this video. I would need for him to verify the numbers. This encounter still may not be the strangest, but it is the strangest with video.

6) Bizarre. I'm reminded of The Godfather for some strange reason.

10) YIKES! Gross video!!

I've hit a deer (14-point buck) in my day, but never had any miscellaneous body parts inside the vehicle. I also stopped the car where I hit the deer outside of Chatham because it was totaled; cops kept me company while some random guy took care of the deer, and I waited for Toni to pick me up. I don't want to do that again.

11) I remember that, I was so grossed out and amazed at the same time, but still managed to record it. Crazy thing is if I had been riding passenger that night, the deer head would've injured me real bad as it came through the window and bounced off the passenger seat head rest.

12) After talking to Garrett, he puts the number of "encounters" since this incident at 3. He assures, "No kills and nothing taken home since then."
The path he takes between home and work is the main culprit I think. That and his unwillingness to take anything other than "the back way."

13) Are we certain that this deer was actually killed? I mean, I've heard that most deer can fully regenerate their bodies. I know humans can, so you know, no biggie.

14) I agree with Dave....the deer head looked like it was smiling.

I've hit three deer....two with a volvo...and one with my current car. Not sure how the Volvo survived the two deer...I'm pretty sure the deer didn't. I hate deer with a passion!!!

15) Dave, look close. The deer's tongue is sticking out. As I've learned from cartoon deaths this definitely means the deer is dead. That and there are Xs where its eyes were.

16) The tongue - questionable. But those X's on the eyes are a dead giveaway. Literally.

17) After you gut a few deer yourself, you tend to find this video somewhat amusing. Did your friend Garret hang this deer on his wall? (with a tire around his head)
