16) We're a group of mom's that originally met on iVillage. We were all due with babies in April 2005. We've changed "locations" several times and lost several people along the way, but plenty of us Holla Mommas (as we call ourselves) are still chatting online everyday. We've got moms from coast to coast, in Canada and in Hawaii!

17) Courtney that is brilliant. What a great way for stay at home moms and working moms alike to stay in touch. When I was pregnant with Scott (a while back..tee hee) I had nine friends that were all pregnant at the same time. The problem was that I was the last one due so I had to watch (not literally, of course) 8 friends all deliver before me. That plus I read an article that said 1 in 9 births will have some form of birth defect (this could be anything from a birth mark on up) and when all eight of my friends had perfect babies I became paranoid. The first thing I said to my OB after delivery was ...Does he have 10 fingers and ten toes? Pretty silly, eh?

23) OMG that is an incredibly long story... I will try to summarize.

My internship at the Baseball Hall of Fame led me to a career in baseball, which led me to a job with the Daytona Cubs, in Florida. There I met Robbie from Pittsburgh, who was entirely miserable in Florida, so we decided that we wanted to be together, and we wanted to be closer to family. So, we basically quit our jobs, packed our stuff, threw a dart at a map and decided to move north to Louisville, because it was halfway between Springfield, IL and Pittsburgh, and just far south enough that the weather is mild enough for me to stand it.

That was a long summary. There's alot missing, but that's the outline, I suppose :)

24) I'm Gigi's sister, Denny & Grant's aunt (by blood), Niki & Kitch's aunt (by marriage), and Dylan's great-aunt. Oh, and Emmet and Beck's great-aunt (since they are brothers of Dylan per Denny & Niki). And friend to Merrick (we work together). And Paula's friend for many, many, many...uh, many years. I grew up in Mooresville and after several moves have landed in Portland Oregon. I think those are all of my connections (so far).

One weekend we were hanging out with Jason and Sarah when Sarah told us about Dave's web site. I came back home and checked it out and loved it. 31) I just stumbled upon this page on the internet one day. I have no idea who anyone is. It is a cool site so I thought I would stick around.

Leslie & Courtney, before Dylan was born I had a bunch of ultrasounds and in one I only saw 3 fingers on one of Dylan's hands. I did not freak out until after we left and asked Denny over and over if he thought that meant she only had 3 fingers. The next time we had to go in for another ultrasound I asked the technician (most of my friends said their technician had counted the fingers and toes out loud), and she looked at me and said, "I don't know, but she probably does." So let me tell you it was very reassuring the day of the birth to find out they were all there. :)

My turn-I lived in Lewisville, NC, when my Daughter Sarah met the love of her life (she didn't know it quite yet) Matt Pike. She moved to Greensboro to go to school when she reconnected with Matt.Sarah moved to Asheville to do an internship and somehow Matt landed in Asheville too.I was living in Mooresville(Lake Norman) and working in Huntersville when I retired from nursing. I went through a major life changing event and moved to Asheville (where I lived for 18 months in the 70's)to be near Sarah and revive my spirit.Fast forward to almost 6 years ago when Sarah Furr became Sarah Pike(the Sarah and Matt name thing is a whole blog on to itself)Pegi and Bob Pike have moved to Asheville and I have met the love of my life Richard Pipes whose nickname is "Pike."Two years go Richard and I moved to Walnut Cove which is just north of Winston Salem. Pegi's sister Pam B. moved to Germanton which is in the same county as WC, we (Pam and I) got in touch-we had met at 2 weddings and have become friends. It is all Pam'd fault that I am addicted to making stuff out of Kudzu. I think I will stop there-of course there is more to the story but that's for another day. 43) As Niki said, I grew up in Mooresville with Denny. I went on TWB with his dad. Niki and I lived together in Winston-Salem for two years after we graduated from college. She got married and moved to Lake Norman/Huntersville and I moved to Charlotte and then got married. Now, I'm married, expecting a baby in July, and am living in Toronto for a year or so longer.

44) I met SallyPants a few years ago, and she pointed me to her brother's previous blog site, daveheinzel.com. I was simply "Mark" over there. I emailed with Dave a few times, talking mostly about web design. He pointed me towards learning PHP and MySQL. The former I've used a great deal since then, but the latter I've only recently delved into. I've currently got a project at work that involves a web application and an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) phone app that pull from the same MySQL database, which I must first convert from an Access DB.

Oh, and I'm claiming credit for being the friend that got Bill here.
