Picking Baking Eating
I love summer! I headed a few minutes down the road today to March Farm. It is one of a number of "pick your own" farms in our area. Bluberries are now locally at their peak.

The farm has hundreds of bushes.

I couldn't wait to make some muffins.

For my next project I didn't have to go any further than the backyard. My daughters favorite food is pesto tossed on pasta. I usually grow a lot of basil.

The hardest part od the process is soaking, spinning and setting the basil out to dry off.

I have a great recipe where the basil, parmesean cheese, garlic and toasted pine nuts all get tossed into the food processor with a little olive oil.

Then I fill ice cube trays and freeze. One cube is enough for 8 oz. of pasta.

Dinner was pretty tasty tonight.

p.s. I had amazing basil plants...for about a week. Then my brown thumb took them out.
Send me good looking food.
