It's Time To Come Out Of The Closet
It's that time again. It happens twice a year, every year. I believe it is most tedious chore ever. And in my next life my personal assistant/maid/stylist will do it for me. Or better yet...I'll just buy all new clothes and give my old ones to charity. The dreaded closet switch-a-roo. Does anyone else hate this as much as me? Bye bye to winter sweaters...hello to strappy sandals and sleeveless shirts. Unfortunately I have one of those standard closets that can only hold one season's worth of clothes. So add to my dream list a huge walk in closet with electric rotating clothes racks. Anyway.... So off I go to retrieve my spring & summer wardrobe. This is no easy feat. It requires mutiple trips up and down stairs. The whole process takes several days. I tackle the closet first, the armoire second and the dresser third. Today was closet day. Sigh!

I pile the winter things in preparation for the many trips downstairs and then I drag the summer things up the stairs. Whew! Who needs an aerobic class?

All the clothes grouped together, skirts, shirts, etc. By July it will be a total mess but for now it is so organized and I am oh so pleased. Can you see me smiling?
Let's not forget the shoes that must be lined up perfectly. That is until next week when I am seaching under the bed and all over the house for them.

I'm a third of the way to the finish line and when it's done I can spend the summer messing it all up so that I can start all over again in September.
There has to be an easier way. Oh wait..there is...my husband never changes any of his clothes over. The short sleeves and the long sleeves mingle all year long. The bathing suit is in the same drawer with the winter sweats and will stay that way forever. He is perfectly content with his lack of organization. Lucky him.

PS. If you don't share a closet with aforementioned husband, then you probably could get both seasons in that closet pictured above...it looks about the size of ours?
Angi, only half the closet is pictured. I have the other half too (tee hee) for pants and jackets. My husband uses a closet in a different room. I don't want my clothes squished...ha ha
I think you should just have your husband turn a spare bedroom into your personal walk-in closet. Mr. Shoo did, and I don't think he could be happier. The hurricane that is me getting ready in the morning is confined to only one room.
Also, I see some very cute shoes in your closet!! The leopard print, the black buckle-y guys, the Rocket Dogs...I might have a bit of shoe envy.
