Mists of Avalon/ Kindle anyone? Yes, I'm still stuck reading this book. I'm three-quarters through it, but I started it back in March.
It's pretty interesting version of the authurian legend. I've liked it/disliked it for the last three months. I like it for the medieval story, but I've disliked it for clogging up my reading pile because I don't like it enough to burn through it.

Does anyone have a kindle? I saw a lady reading from one at lunch and since then I've been thinking I should get one. It seems like it might be a colossal waste of money. Fitting loads of books into a thing the width of a pencil is neat but not necessary for me.
Has anyone used a Kindle or Sony reader? Do you like it?

1) Never used one. I listen to books and really like that. Merrick and I talk about the narrators and how we like and dislike them for different reasons. I think they can bring something new to the book but it does take some getting used to to listen instead of use your eyes. I spend so much time on a screen--my eyes struggle to read a lot but by listening my eyes get a break and I still enjoy the books. If you get one, let us know how you like it! I don't think I will ever go that route because I have enough screen strain on my eyes from work. :)

3) I read in the paper this morning about the new Kindle that's out and there happened to be a guy on my plane on Monday that had one. I overheard him tell someone that he loved it, mainly because he can download magazine and newspaper subscriptions to it. Seems neat but $400+ for a virtual book seems really overpriced. Also, it stores up to 3,500 books. I won't come even close to reading that many in my lifetime. That's like a small library. Craziness. So my take is that it's way overpriced, but then again I'm not an avid reader like you are.

4) I loved the book, but I read it back in either HS or early college. And everyone I know that has a kindle loves it. I've considered getting one for my hubby, but he's not as much of a reader as I am. I haven't seen one in person, though, and I'd want to do that before I bought one. But I've heard great things.
