An Apology
Several days ago, an Anonymous Coward (not a put down, a term from slashdot.org) calling themselves "Someone who Cares" said that I was being very low down and mean (paraphrasing here) in using the following photo when talking about the former president and a certain talk radio host (http://www.humzoo.com/Pastafarian/blog/19/).

So right now I am issuing a formal apology.

I'm sorry to cockroaches around the world that I would imply they are anything like the Bush Administration or Rush Limbaugh. I should never have impugned those poor insects in that manner.

1) I don't like the insinuation that Rush Limbaugh could somehow survive a nuclear blast. It gives me the willies.

2) I think Limbaugh is mislabeled. He's actually much larger.

5) Rush Limbaught has convictions? Convictions are something you stand by no matter what.

"I agree with the view, best articulated by Judge Robert Bork, that there is no basis in the Constitution for the privacy right which was announced as the foundational basis for the constitutional right to abortion." - Rush Limbaugh in the book The Way Things Ought to Be.

Limbaugh argued that he has a constitutional right to privacy over the records, and that the seizure of the records by the State Attorney's Office was making it difficult for him to obtain treatment from his doctors.

So when it comes to things he dislikes (Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to privacy), he's against it. But when it benefits him, he's all for. Real convictions.

And he doesn't speak the truth. He's an entertainer. He speaks what his audience wants to hear. If he didn't, he wouldn't be as popular as he is.

6) Not sure where Rush is getting his argument for "constitutional right" to privacy over medical records, if that is indeed the case. My guess is that it has to do with state privacy laws. I dont know where you got this info.

In fact the Roe v Wade decision was not based on anything in the constitution. The SCOTUS legislated from the bench. If they want abortion to be legal then congress should pass a law. But dont tell me that there is a right to privacy in the constitution. It aint there.
