Wednesday, April 29th, 2009A Poem - Benjamin This poem is about a 5 month old baby who died in Peoria last year. It's a story that I remember from the beginning and it made me profoundly sad and filled with rage at the same time. Something that makes me cry when I think about it. Anyway, I thought I would try something different and channel the sadness and anger. The poem probably sucks, but here it is.
Benjamin
Fists clenched in rage
Such a tender age
I cry every time I think
of your life on the brink
So much strife
In your gentle life
Only death for you...
