A Poem - Benjamin
This poem is about a 5 month old baby who died in Peoria last year. It's a story that I remember from the beginning and it made me profoundly sad and filled with rage at the same time. Something that makes me cry when I think about it. Anyway, I thought I would try something different and channel the sadness and anger. The poem probably sucks, but here it is.

Benjamin

Fists clenched in rage
Such a tender age

I cry every time I think
of your life on the brink

So much strife
In your gentle life

Only death for you...

1) So sad that things like this happen everyday. You are a tender caring soul!

2) I can't even bear to read the news stories about this it makes me hysterically upset. This little boy was almost the same age as my daughter when he was murdered. The 2 "parents" on trial need to be taken from this Earth. I don't know of anyone who can stand to look at their sorry excuse for a life and not be absolutely sickened.

3) It argues well that a parent should require a license like a marriage. Maybe if they had to pass a test there might be fewer parents of this caliber.

4) dannie, if you knew what I would do to the "parents" of the child, you wouldn't think I was a tender and caring soul. You'd probably think I was a sick sadistic bast**d.

For those of you who are wondering wtf is this, here is an article that covers all the bases and probably explains some of the lines of the poem you might not get: http://www.pjstar.com/news/x1092985440/Infant-starvatio...
