Taking it Out on My Body

Tonight was awful.

I was so tired that I missed the potluck and worship night. I decided to take some photos on a MicroSD card to Wal-Mart to have printed so I can send them to my nephews and niece. I offered to grab dinner while I was out and get some other little things while there.

I got to WM and the pics I needed on the card weren't there. I had to go back home and get them uploaded. I wasn't happy.

I got back to WM. I hit the photo lab first and placed my order through the Fuji Kiosk. I wandered and ended up at the deli. The employee there was in no hurry. He was particularly slow and incompetent. After waiting on another customer it took him 15 mins to get my 1# of ham because he had no idea what he was looking for. I told him to help the lady behind me because I needed to get back to the photo lab. He said, "Tell me what you want, and I'll have it ready when you get back." So I did and ran to the back of the store.

I should have looked at the pictures before over-paying for them. The portrait pics were printed on landscape layout. The quality was absolutely horrific. I complained and she told me I could try again. Are you kidding me? Try again? I told her no. She said I could "sell them back". What?! By this time it was almost 9pm. I will be going back tomorrow to discuss this with someone. I wasn't happy.

I headed back to the deli for my salami. He had 1.04# sliced. I said, "Are you sure that's salami?" He said no. He looked around like an idiot trying ot figure out what he'd sliced up. I said, "Looks a little red to me. Are you sure that's not pepperoni?" He looked around some more and said, "Oh yeah, I think it might be. Oops." Oops?! Oops?! Where's my salami? He offered to cut me salami. I declined. He obviously had no idea what he was doing. I wasn't happy.

I got in a fairly short line with the slowest checker in the state. One of my items rang up wrong. He stared at me in total confusion when I said, "It rang up wrong. Just void it please; I need to leave." Total blank, confused expression; so I repeated myself. He still seemed confused and eventually voided the item. I wasn't happy.

I got Subway for dinner instead of TacoBell because the TB line was wrapped around the place. I got home, Richie and I ate. I sat down to play on the computer and realized I'd left the ice cream out. Thank God it hadn't melted all over the counter. I wasn't happy.

It was at that point I decided that tonight would be a good night to take it out on my body. I brought over a box of donuts and a huge glass of milk. I ate two. I might have more. I may even have cookies or a Twinkie or a moon pie. I have had an awful night and feel like doing some damage and what better way to do damage with my mouth than by stuffing it full of sugary foods? It's better than being ugly to people. I guess I'll take one for the team tonight and splurge to the point of a tummy ache to keep from saying hateful ugly things.

Y'know, I know "they" say we shouldn't do "emotional eating", but man, I would be right there with you and those donuts. Sometimes it's worth it. I hope tomorrow is better.

should have shoved a Twinkie in my mouth while talking to Wells Fargo today. Maybe I wouldn't have been so mean to that boy.

Done that too many times. Still tempted but I try to avoid it. Especially over people who don't deserve that kind of sacrifice on my part. :)
