Blurbs stick around for 7 days.
So after the blacklight inspection I've determined my house just smells like dog, not pee. I have issues with my house smelling like dog. I hate that smell. It smells dirty. What do I do?

3) What dannie said - bathe once a week - clean once a week, lots of febreeze. I get Arm & Hammer Pet Odor carpet stuff for the vacuum also. And when you Febreeze - make sure you do your courtains and couch and stuff also - not just the air. We have two cats and a dog and it is rare that you can smell our pets

4) Uhhh...I'd check w/your vet on the weekly bathing thing - tried that with our GSD and she had terrible skin reactions from too much bathing. The U of I says quarterly for better skin/coat. Good luck with that D-O-G smell...comes with the territory, I'm afraid. Wait 'til you have kids. HA!

5) Merrick uses some doggie wipes from the Dollar Tree. Says they work great for her Basset who can get that hound smell. Might try those. Only cost a dollar to try them. :) I think they come 6 to a pack or something.

6) Scooter will be getting a bath today; I fully intend on weekly baths mostly because he needs grooming more than other breeds. We discoverd that he has halitosis. So everywhere he slobers smells like his icky breath. ewe No offense to anyone who does us it--I refuse to use Febreeze. If I were to use that regularly then in 6 months I'd need to have the furniture professionally cleaned. That stuff builds up...I don't want to mask the smell, I want to either prevent it or eliminate it.

8) Check out products for breath. There are products out there to add to the water, etc. Natural products. Might have his teeth checked when you go to the vet too. Might be a sign of a problem or at least age--you mentioned he is an older dog, right? Digestion plays a part in breath too and you mentioned gas days go.

9) Gas is over!!! Woot!!! He's been getting yogurt in his food, and actually he won't eat it without the yogurt. ha We got some mini after dinner mints. . . that did not help. I will definately discuss it with the vet. I might try something before we can get him in.
