Allow Me to Blow Your Mind

About a year ago I tried a culinary experiment that went horribly wrong. I still lay awake at night wondering why Smarties don't make a good coffee sweetener. It doesn't add up.

After watching the finale of Top Chef Masters last week, I found inspiration to dust off my old chef's hat and give the art of food combination another try.

This time I nailed it.

I call my recipe Type II.

First step: Begin with a bag of pretzels.

Second step: Apply liberal amounts of vanilla frosting.

Final step: Enjoy a wild ride on the Epicurean Express.

This recipe works for equally well for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.

I would love to see a cookbook created from these masterpieces.

We eat well at Chez Towanda - however, that last photo appears doctored - there's typically a lot of icing in her hair and several cats trapped near her nostrils.

HA! This reminds me of the Amy Sadaris cookbook
"I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence"

Bravo!

I think Sally needs her own show. Next Food Network Star!! Great job. I'm surprised one of the cats wasn't there for the clean-up.

That is not just vanilla frosting, but Rainbow Chip. Awesome!

I think you should start a catering business for Type II. Towandanites from far and near will be ringing your churchbell.

Sally didn't you learn anything from your mother when she taught you how to cook? I know that your mother and Steve instilled enough culinary knowledge in you to prevent something like this from happening.

Awesome! I was wondering what to have for breakfast tomorrow. Thank you for solving that dilemma.

Would it be possible to substitute cheese whiz for frosting?

Hmmmm, I may have to experiment with that but it's really the salt + sweet that makes this so epic!

Just like pretzels and ice cream, my favorite.
