"The Soloist", or Spot the Error!

I just watched the trailer for Joe Wright's new movie "The Soloist". Some of you may have seen "Atonement", which was the last critically acclaimed movie that he directed. I personally found the film captivating, though a lot of people I know found it trite and melodramatic. But I think you'd have to search long and hard to find an original film score as bold, or a centerpiece scene (the long one-shot scene at Dunkirk) as breathtaking in scope.

"The Soloist" stars Robert Downey Jr. who is clearly back with a vengeance and finally, finally becoming a big star. He plays a journalist who finds a homeless celloist (played by Jamie Foxx) and decides to help him get back on his feet and make him famous. When he learns that the celloist is a schizophrenic, he considers backing out of the friendship.

That said...Russ wanted a new puzzle, so here it is: spot the gigantic continuity error in the trailer for "The Soloist"!

2) You win! I wonder if they noticed it and said "Aw, screw it" or if it's possible no one noticed it until it ended up in the trailer.

3) Wait...I watched it again. The way he falls, he should roll into the next shot from the left, but he rolls in on the right. This leads me to believe that they actually flipped the shot for some reason. Someone who's actually seen the film tells me that there is no continuity error in the final film. Interesting.

4) This sounds a little bit like the movie with Samuel Jackson who is homeless, a pianist and is schizophrenic....I can't think of the name of it though...

5) Interesting! Maybe it was done on purpose to see if anyone noticed.
