Free Stores & Swap Meets
So in the art building they are putting on a free store/swap meet (whatever you want to call it). I have never ever heard of this concept. It is such an awesome idea! I was able to get rid of a bunch of old projects/crap that was taking up space in my 10x10 cell.... only to make room for a few new items. Here is a taste of what i was able to find.....Finally, i can play my old mixed tapes!
this is a cool tv that i'm assuming was someone's sculpture project or something. I am either A. going to peel the stickers off the front and make it my tv. B. make it some sort of project or C. drop it out of the fourth story window and make it a photo/video shoot. (which i guess is an extension of B)
Sorry if you have said this before but are you going to an Art College or are you taking Art Classes at a college? My daughter wants to go to an Art College and I personally believe that she would be better off studying Art at a more liberal arts oriented school. But I am open to listening to the advantages of a pure Art School
Also, what are the professions where your art skills can be put to use. In other words, how can one make money, while you are alive anyway, with an art degree?
I know there is industrial art and also obviously there is computer graphics, visualization, simulation, etc....but was wondering what your plans were. You are obviously passionate about art and I think that is the first key in being successful, but what are the longer term goals.
Sorry for the questions but my daughter is a jr in hs and I need to start taking her college choices very seriously.
thanks
