HUMZOO STICKERS

I just picked up my mail...buried underneath bills and credit card company offers I found this.

A letter from the Humzoo world head quarters! WOW that was quick! Giddy with excitment I could not wait to open the letter!

Sweet deal!!! My stickers have arrived.

I was convinced Dave would just drop them off on his bike to save the 42 cents in postage. It warms my humzoo heart this came all the way from what I am guessing is the Deaton household....unless Humzoo has already created a warehouse of under aged...under paid minions.

Either that or highly trained monkeys. THANKS FOR THE SWEET HUMZOO SWAG. Now I just need to figure out where to put them.

PS....Instructions....amazing...

1) Awesome! So glad you received your sticker pack. I will keep our mail shop a secret unless its supervisor wishes to release details. But suffice it to say that the stickers didn't come from me, and they didn't come from Denny. We have "contracted with a third party" to fulfill our mailing needs.

The instruction booklet was a joy to produce. Glad you enjoyed.

2) I believe I know the handwriting on the envelope...

Dave, any way to see the instruction booklet without costing you guys a stamp?

Ben, now that your address is there for the world to see, you're going to be getting TV 20 groupies on your lawn. Or maybe they're just there to catch a glimpse of the shart guy. :)

7) They look so good, they are certainly worth the wait. I can't wait to get mine,so I put them on my Van and other car. The color Red is very popular in this area, with the NCSU Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes both wearing Red and White.

12) I am sure one of these days I am going to be somewhere in a parking lot and see another humzoo sticker. Or I can imagine one of my Springfield/St. Louis trips I will see on the highway. How cool will that be?

15) Me, too, Kaydee! I also had a slight problem with my stickers and Nick Nolte--good thing they had that troubleshooting stuff on the back page. WHEW!!

PS. One of those stickers will be going into a wedding gift this weekend; YAY!!!

16) I wonder how they would look decorating a wedding cake? I think I may be making one (thanks, Denny, for getting me in this field!!) again but have a tight budget for decorations. Think they would make a nice inexpensive cake decoration?

Let's see, 3-tiers, circumference is 38-29-19 so how many stickers would I need?

24) I loved the instruction book. Even in my sick haze yesterday, the Humzoo stickers with booklet warmed my little heart and brought a smile to my face. I've gotta figure out where to slap 'em.

26) Mrs. Shoo, I hope you're feeling much, much better today. And at least it's Friday so now you have two "free" days to get better!

27) Nancy, I didn't end up taking off today. You know how it is when it's easier just to go into work than to mess with sub plans and stay home and worry about how the kids are doing (and how they're behaving for the sub)...I should've stayed home and just said, "Forget it!!"

28) Too much dedication, Mrs. Shoo. You will outgrow that and realize your health is more important one day. :) Sorry you are still under the weather. Hope a weekend is the cure--or at least allows more recovery before Monday.

29) Linda, it's always such a hassle to come up with something for the kids to do that's actually productive. I always feel like I'm wasting days when I'm not there. Maybe I'm placing too much importance on myself. I slept after school until Mr. Shoo got home, and he's still taking care of me. So, I'll hopefully be better by Monday.

30) I know, Mrs. Shoo, my job didn't impact kids but I always felt I had to get it all done and would overwork to do it. Took some years and again...like Merrick loves to say (I keep saying this one to people a lot lately!) "I work to live; I don't live to work". It's hard when you are someone like you who cares so much and feels so concerned about your kids education but you deserve your care as well. Glad to hear you got some rest and Mr. Shoo is there to take care of you. Keep up the good rest--healing.

32) Glad you survived today, Mrs. Shoo. Those are loooooonnnnnnnngggggg days when you don't feel well in school!!!! Yes, I definitely understand about how sometimes it's just easier to go and also more productive for the kids, but there are times when I think you should just let go....stay home and take good care of yourself and REST!! And look at it this way...you're helping another person be employed! OK, no more lectures! Just get better soon!!

33) Linda, I didn't mean to imply that it isn't difficult to be gone from other jobs. If it came off that way, I apologize. I'm not very good at censoring myself tonight. From being married to a non-teacher, I know how difficult it can be for anyone to be away from his job. I know Mr. Shoo is always at the computer "working" even when he's ill.
Nancy, I'll remember that about employing someone else next time. I'll look at it that way.

35) Don't worry, Mrs. Shoo, I didn't take your comment that way. Just meant to admit that my job wasn't as significant to someone's education...mostly just hand-holding cranky co-workers and impatient managers. LOL I think we all tend to be eager and work harder than we should when young enough to have the energy to manage it but at some point we start arguing more for our own health instead of the job. Hope I didn't sound like I was preaching. :)
LGrant   Friday, September 19, 2008

36) I think hand-holding co-workers is really important. Some of them are worse than children.
And no preaching at all. I know I need to look after my health. That's how my colds turn into miserable sinus infections. I don't take care of myself until it's too late.
