Dr. H is Famous
I would like to congratulate my dear old dad for becoming the new president of the CT State Medical Society. My brother did a much better job giving him the credit he deserves. WOOHOO...congrats.
Today I was sitting on my computer....like I am now when my friend pat mentioned he saw my dad on TV.
What?
Pat: Yeah, I saw my Dr. on TV
My dad gave Pat a physical once so he could bike across the country. So I looked into it....and sure enough....my dad was on TV! You can view his story here: http://www.fox61.com/pages/fox61_news_at_ten

At least it will be there for maybe the next 24 hours.
He does a really good job talking on a cell phone...which I'm pretty sure he has no idea how to use. But he did a great job with the story!
I bet poor Dr. Lifland didn't know he would be famous for leaving.
Don't worry...print media didn't decide Dr. Handelman was so pretty he could only be on TV.
He made the Hartford Courant (who spelled his name wrong....credibility lost)

Dad also made the wall street journal!

Oh, local news. You crack me up.
And, oh yeah, what's with Dad on the cell phone? I can't say I've seen him spend more than five minutes on a cell phone, but I guess they had him do something that Looked Important and would make people believe he was actually a doctor. I'm surprised they didn't have him give the interview while holding a jar containing a spleen or something.
I think this is very exciting!
and yay for Leslie, not only do you have a son that is a local celebrity in Springfield but now you have a husband that is moving up the ranks as a CT celebrity!
