One Year Later

Weird to think about...but I've been in Springfield, Illinois for one year. Today is my one year anniversary at work. Happy anniversary me.

Here is the first photo of me in Springfield...taken by Amber.

When I first arrived...it was a Sunday...I went downtown...and saw a ghost town. I was worried to say the least. Where had I moved to?

Then I checked out my work....scary neighborhood.
Uh oh.

But before long I realized Springfield is kind of a cool place...I discovered horse shoes.

1) Ha....Springfield on Sundays is perfect for tourists who hate people. Remember that scene early in I am Legend, when Will Smith is racing around downtown NYC and there's no one in sight. That's Springfield on a Sunday. It's great for photographing old buildings without looking like a dork in front of 50,000 state workers on lunch break though.

Happy Anniversary, Ben. You have honestly classed the place up a little.

18) I wasn't there Rick! It was just a nice memory that this girl invited ben to her thanksgiving when he was so recently out there with no one to celebrate and I remember him going and staying all night for a crazy celebration!
