State Needs Money, Where Are The Solutions?

I hate when the Republicans say "We need to start over in healthcare." Republicans have raised a lot of valid concerns about some really idiotic Democratic policies... but please for the love of God give me some solutions to go with it.

The same mentality applies in the state of Illinois from both parties on the deficit.
My ear keeps ringing with "We are in a financial crises" from the Dems and Reps. But when it comes to solutions... the realities are few and far between. Obviously the answer is not that easy. If it was Governor Pat Quinn wouldn't have brought up the financial troubles of the state 45 minutes into his first state of the state speech today.

I hope when voters go to the polls in a few weeks they ask themselves what is your solution instead of what has the other guy not done for me lately.

In Other News:

I sat next to the family of a woman who will spend the rest of her life in jail. Her family had no sympathy for her. Very strange to be in a court room for this.

1) I can't stand negative campaigning adverts. They are illegal in the UK.

2) I spend a lot of time in courtrooms. Although I don't practice criminaly law I've attended a life sentencing once. I sat next to the accused's father, wife and daughter. Their pain and despair was palpable. We all believe him to be innocent. Among many things that surprised and scared me that day was the scorn of the court staff and other audience members.

3) I am all for healthcare reform, in fact I am for single payer, but the current bill is really really bad. I disagree with those that say that we need to pass this as a starting point. I hate to say it, but this baby of Obama's is ugly.
