Election Week! Plus a Horse On A Treadmill
It is now 5 days after the primary elections. We still don't know who the GOP candidate for governor will be (two candidates are separated by about 400 votes). You would think that would be the headlines... but this is Illinois. Democratic primary winner Governor Pat Quinn is trying to dump the man who won the spot to be his runningmate. It was discovered Scott Lee Cohen (who won Lt. Gov primary) was arrested for allegedly holding a knife to his ex girlfriends throat... who happened to be a prostitute.
ZINGER!
Oh Illinois. I love your soap opra drama.
To Cohen's defense the charges were dropped... and it happened 5 years ago. Can we blame a man who never was found guilty?
But it doesn't help his prostitute ex girlfriend says he is not fit to hold public office. (see link above).
The GOP would be soaking this up... but they don't know who is on the ticket yet... wonder what will happen next week.
In other news: A teacher was arrested in Danville for having a sexual relationship with a student.
