SWEEPS IS OVER! Another month... another sweeps period is over.
Sweeps is one of the four times a year our ratings are calculated, and we get to see how many viewers we have gained or lost. While sweeps is over... I think a big variable called the Olympics may skew our numbers just a bit.
For reporters it means we get put on "special" stories where we get some extra time to work on reports. Here is my story that for some reason keeps freezing in the middle. Does it work for you?
New texting law tough to enforce.

1) Works great for me. I heard it through. I'm sure it isn't the ticket police are focusing on--there are worse ones but I'm sure if an accident happens and anyone can argue texting it will get more attention. And it makes sense that it takes time to get it working in the system since it is new. Nice that they are working on it. I'd say walking and texting is nearly as bad lately. I've had to dodge people multiple times on the sidewalk because they are texting and not paying attention where they are going. I won't be surprised to hear about someone walking out in front of a car and getting hit or nearly due to lack of attention. Nice story!
