Will that be a Table or a John Wilkes Booth?

As Scott and I walked by the Lincoln Presidential museum...Scott asked "is that a restaurant?" refering to the cafe inside.

"why yes it is."
Without missing a beat Scott changed into his best impersonator of a waiter "Will that be a table or a John Wilkes Booth?"
He had arrived. After not seeing him for a year and a half my brother has clearly not lost any of his wit.

Scott arrived on Monday morning. Even though I had contracted some sort of virus that made me barely have a voice it was awesome to be able to spend the last couple days to show him all around springfield. I think he had a good time. We def ate well. I took some advice from the world of Humzoo and applied it to his visit.

Two of the three places we ate out were at some point featured on the food network.
We tried going to the Pizza Machine....but they were closed for some sort of construction. As Scott put it......."the machine is broken". So we went over to Darcy's pint for a horseshoe. According to the waitress.......3,000 calories. After hearing that Scott opted for the pony shoe...the smaller version. Yummy. For those of you who don't know what one is....all I can say it is only found in Springfield...should only be eaten once a year....and is purely delicous. Come to Springfield to find out!

On Tuesday we ate breakfast the infamous charlie parkers. It was yummy...and I had never been there before so that made it special. I took my bro over to the Presidential Museum. He thought it was amazing....as does everyone else who has ever stepped foot in that building.

I was most impressed by the theatre. The first time I visited there was a real play in the theatre. This time a "film" was playing. I had no idea that I was in for a seat shaking, strobe light blinking, cannon exploding movie experience. Verrrrrry cool.

And just like that......Scott headed back to Omaha. Guess I'll have to go visit soon! Thanks for the laughs.....but not the smell of your farts on my bed.

3) I'm designating your visit together as the trip of giant food. I've never seen a bigger pancake! Also, I'm insanely jealous that Scott got to visit you and I couldn't come. I love your pose with the Lincoln family, although it does look like the wax figurine behind you is coming to get you. I'm sure there's a John Wilkes Booth joke in there somewhere. Happy reporting, and I hope you feel better soon!
