Happy Cinco De Mayo!

To Celebrate today's glorious holiday I went here:

I then did some research and found out the chain is from Denver and is now owned by Jack in the Box. Ooops. That doesn't sound very Mexican. It looks like Betsy was with me on unauthentic Mexican!

On the radio on Saturday...one radio host was talking about celebrating Cinco de Tres. Luckily someone called in and told him he was an idiot.

Anywho...what is everyone doing to celebrate their Mexican heritage and pride?

1) Even worse. I went to Carlos O'Kelly's, the Olive Garden of Mexican food.

2) Hooray for Fake-xican food! I have to admit, my Taco Bell was delicious, and there were some Hispanic guys eating there too, so I didn't feel too bad.

3) Tomorrow we're having a Mexican Train (dominos)/Taco Night Primary Party. Does that count?

5) I'm celebrating Cinco de Mayo by idiotically asking non-Mexican Hispanics how they celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

6) Every year I plan on making Tres Leches Cake but every year it either lands on the wrong day or I have another project. This year was pre-empted by my German Chocolate Cake (I guess if I had added cinnamon to the chocolate it could have qualified!)

9) I was on a plane flying home, but the flight attendants wished everyone a happy Cinco De Mayo over the PA system. I'll bet Senior Panchos was hoppin.
