Stupid People
At lunch today, I took my car in for an alignment & tire rotation. While I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my ride, I saw some really stupid and careless actions take place.
In the lobby, there was a cardboard box that had been designated for a canned food collection. Kudos to the tire shop for making the effort. Too bad their customers are too stupid to not totally ruin the concept.
The box was sitting in the lobby, underneath a sign that read "Canned Food Drop" with an arrow pointing down to the box. The box itself even had the charity's logo printed on it, in full color.

You can't really tell because of the glare, but you would have to be a moron to miss it. Well, there were some morons up in that tire shop today.
As I sat in the waiting room, I saw THREE SEPERATE PEOPLE walk by the box and throw their trash into it.
One lady threw away a used kleenex
A guy dropped in his empty Dr. Pepper can
Another brilliant looking patron walked in the front door, snapped off a pair of dirty rubber gloves, and dropped them right into the box. Then they fell on the floor, so the guy actually bent down to pick them up and put them BACK into the food box. All apparently without noticing that THIS IS NOT A TRASH CAN.
People make me so mad.
*Update*
I just got a call from the tire place. Rather than hearing that my car is ready to be picked up, they kindly let me know that one of the technicians accidentally snapped a bolt off the tire mount, so my car is inoperable, and I can't pick it up until they order the new bolts and put my tires back on.
Are you kidding me?
How do you screw up a tire rotation?

They told me that they didn't care if I told people what happened or not or how I was treated by them b/c they had enough clients to make money from.
True story! Read more about it on my blog.
I will be sitting here at my desk today, working up the cojones to TELL THEM OFF if they try to charge me a dime.
