Stresssss
It's sad when you need to pick up a coffee on the way into work to de-stress... I was going nuts before I even left the house this morning.

Poor Fargo went to the vet last night. He got his first checkup and he was a very good boy. The problem is, his *snip snip* scar is opening up, and of course, he's messing with it. So now I have a lampshade on a leash. It's AWFUL.

The poor thing runs into stuff, and can barely walk up the stairs. It probably doesn't help matters that Joe and I sit there laughing hysterically watching him try to move around. He can't even fit into his kennel with the thing on, so he's just free in the basement at night, which stresses me out, and I didn't get much sleep last night.

Then this morning, it was all rainy, and he couldn't focus on the task at hand during his walk, and that was a pain... PLUS, I walked into the back yard, and all the bags of QuickCrete we bought to finish the fence poles was totally SOAKED.

Oh woe is me... I also have an awesome case of high-school-face to deal with, so that's an awesome extra ten minutes of spackle work in the bathroom mirror in the morning. Grrrr.

It'll get better. Only 6 more days till the lampshade comes off... and only 4 more days till THANKSGIVING WEEK!

Must breathe...

Breathe.

Coffee...

2) Yep, pet ownership can be as stressful as parenting. Sounds like you got a big dose fast. Hopefully after all this is pass it will smooth out and you will have some time to enjoy instead of stress.

Hang in there!!

4) Look on the bright side of the lampshade: He can now catch dog biscuits easily and can probably hear really well too.

I work for the Leon County Humane Society and might be able to point you in the right direction...

6) I try to stay on the bright side and tell myself, "what a beautiful mess I'm in" because underlying all the troubles are some pretty big blessings ;-)

I've been there with both the QuickCrete and the high school face- I'm so sorry! Those things can be so frustrating.
