Why are Robert Goulet Christmas Albums So EXPENSIVE?!? I've been obsessed with Robert Goulet lately. Mostly because of his version of the "Christmas Waltz" which I think is hilarious.
But also because of the Will Ferrell sketches from SNL:
and the Emerald Nuts commercial.
Any guy who will tap dance on someone's desk and crawl on the ceiling for the sake of delicious almonds is alright in my book.
So I've been scouring the internets for a CD version of "Christmas Waltz" and it's close to impossible to find. There are a couple well-circulated Christmas albums of his on vinyl, which I purchased on ebay. But none of them have that particular song.
The only CD I have found is on Amazon.com, and it's $150!!!

So... I will have to settle for the really bad radio recording that my mom made back in 1991. The Infamous Gladish Family Christmas Tapes are full of gems from the disco era, the Rat Pack stars, the 80's all the way back to the 50's and more. I had the tapes dubbed onto CD for my family a few years ago, since the tapes were so over-played that they were starting to wear out. So we have the whole 5 CD collection, complete with weather reports and old school commercials, including a commercial advertising "First Night Springfield, 1991 Style!"
I wish I could upload songs to Humzoo, because some of these are hilarious.
So, if anyone has any Goulet-Hunting advice, please share!
Happy Holidays everyone!
