NASCAR Day 2008

NASCAR Day 2008 is May 16th!
I am currently raising money for the NASCAR Foundation, which you can read about here: http://foundation.nascar.com/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid...
NASCAR Foundation is an organization that raises money on behalf of all the drivers, owners and teams in the NASCAR Community, and then gives the money to all kinds of charities like Children's Hospitals, Summer Camps & Pet Rescue Organizations (and many others).
Last year, when I worked at Daytona International Speedway, I raised over $16,000 for the NASCAR Foundation, and I was honored at the pre-race ceremonies at the Pepsi 400 in July by the France Family (the inventors of NASCAR).
I know I won't be able to raise nearly as much this year without all the sweet NASCAR Connections, but I'd still like to try my best.
The cool thing is, if you donate only $5, you get this awesome NASCAR Day pin!

1) Betsy, I think that you are a race fan right? :) I was at Richard Childress Racing today working on a design for a display at the museum there. I honestly know very little about racing so I don't know if their team is good or not. I think you would have appreciated the amount of loud vehicles they had running between the buildings there. It was nuts. Richard Childress has a vineyard near the museum too. I think it is kind of scary to think of him as a enologist but the checkerd flag adds an interesting touch to the vineyard.

Betsy Tuesday, April 15, 20083) It's for the machine company that helps RCR make high performance parts for the engines....make sense? So the display has all those wild looking car parts with descriptions of how they help RCR get to the winner's circle. The engineers love this stuff.
Spike Tuesday, April 15, 20084) Oh that sounds so cool! I worked on displays at 'Daytona USA/Daytona 500 Experience' a little in my day :)
