Springfield Sliders - Web Designer Needed
Surprisingly, I first heard of the Springfield Sliders from my mom, who is the most non-sports fan I have ever known, and I was slightly intrigued.
When Shoo posted his blog about a Humzoo/SPFLD Bloggers gathering at a Sliders game, I decided to check the team out.
Being a former Minor League Baseball employee, I have seen every type of team/stadium from the smallest of the small, to the hugest teams in the minors.
Being a native of Springfield, and knowing Lanphier Park, I assumed that this team would be a rather small operation. Small doesn't mean BAD, by any means...
I decided to check out the team's website http://www.springfieldsliders.com/ and I was horrified, appalled and aghast to see the front page of the team's site.

People... a PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL TEAM used COMIC SANS on the front page of their website.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!???!!?
The easiest way to make your website and your entire organization look like a huge joke, is to use comic sans on your website.
Now, I apologize if I am offending anyone who likes comic sans... but REALLY!??!
Can I get a witness!?!??!?

Also, why is Fredbird the Redbird green?
You think they built their site with tables?! Nah.
The Sliders are a college level division which I think is a few levels below minor league. Mrs. Shoo and I drove past the ball park last night on the way to DQ. The stadium was actually quite full. From what I've read they're doing a good job with promotions (minus the faux pas of Comic Sans).
Sorry, Shoo!

I know my comment is a little late, but I couldn't resist
