Louisville BBQ
Monday night, Robbie and I took the parents to have some Lou-uh-vull Barbecue. We were instructed to go to a place with, quote "not much for atmosphere, but the food is great."
The "not much for atmosphere" was an understatement. Pretty much all this place had going for it as far as atmosphere was the awesome smell of the smoker in the parking lot.

It was basically a run down old wooden shack with some picnic tables. But the food was amaaaaaazing.
You could smell this place from 5 blocks away. The cook was literally in the parking lot, stoking the meat over the hickory coals.
Yummmmmmmm.
I had pulled pork, and the rest of the family had ribs, which were amazing.
If you're ever in Louisville, I recommend the Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot and Smokehouse.
The patrons don't have the best language or social skills, but the food really is great, and you can play cornhole and ping pong for free!

Also, there's something to be said for the parking lot BBQ. My favorite BBQ place in Springpatch is on the corner of 6th and Standford in the parking lot across from Chantilly Lace.

I think she was looking at me like, "Are we seriously eating here?"
I like cornhole--that sounds like a lot of fun and less work than horseshoes for someone to set up and play. And easy on kids! :)
When I hear cornhole I think, I AM CORNHOLIO- I NEED TP FOR MY BUNG HOLE.
I have been saying that all week, for some reason I keep hearing things that remind me of Beavis and Butthead
