Can You Identify This Creature?

This weekend, Robbie and I went to Springfield for 4th of July. My mom was telling us about her flower garden, and described a creature she often sees in the flowers that sounded like a fictional animal.

She said it hovers like a hummingbird, it had two big fat antennae like feelers, it was colored like a bumblebee, but not dangerous-looking or aggressive, and it had a tail kindof like a shrimp, but fuzzy.

Seriously, does this sound like the ramblings of a crackhead to you?

I had to see it to believe it, and see it I did.

Can anyone ID this weird creature for us?

A shrimp tail... for real.

Big fat feeler-antennae...

and flapping hover wings.

5) If you just say you googled it, that is all the proof you need. What would we do without search engines?

7) Is there some kind of google facility where you can paste in a picture and it will tell you what it is of?
If not, why not? Make it happen! Someone!

15) Whoa!! I love that creature. Can you send one to me...actually send a boy and a girl so we can have some little ones. Maybe it is a candidate for the official mascot of Humzoo. The real question is does it taste like cake?
