OK... I Survived
Shoo had to come get me... but I am back. I survived the Ryder Cup.
BUT BARELY.
Things are slowing down to a crawl here at the office now, so I will have much more time on the internets. Here is a recap of the past... Oh.... month or so.
1. My job here with the PGA ends on October 31st, so I am back on the job market. A little freaked out.
2. I have an interview on Monday with the Girl Scouts for Annual Giving Manager. It scares me a little, and I don't want to leave sports, but we shall see.
3. I made lots of friends and had WAY too much fun over the past month, and now they're all leaving and going back to their real lives, so I am in a bit of a funk.
4. My apartment is driving me crazy. I keep knocking over stuff, and I have to store stuff in the hallways, because it's just TOO SMALL.
5. I have decided to stay in Louisville, so that's a plus... I guess.
Everything's real up-in-the-air right now. I am sick of not knowing where I will be working from one year to the next, so I am hoping my next step in the journey will be something long-term.
Say some prayers for me and keep me in your thoughts. It's going to be a rough few weeks.
Now, for your viewing pleasure, some random pics from the Ryder Cup:

Me and the merchandise ladies on Ryder Cup Sunday.

Me and the guys... Thumbs up! These are the best guys around. Such amazing people.

A bit sleepy, but still thumbs up. Notice my awesome thermal sleeves, with the sleeveless polo.

Golf cart malfunctioning, must push up hill..

My Euro friends and their huge pile of windscreen

Me and Little Sue inside one of the disgusting storage units we had to wrestle with all week.

The ops assistants were done for the day, so I decided to give them a golf cart ride to their cars... ALL OF THEM.

Sorry to hear about your slump but I wish you the best of luck with your job search. I have to ask though, don't you think you're a little old to join the Girl Scouts? Maybe I'm wrong, if so please send lots of cookies when you get in. And if they have any Annual Receiving Manager openings please let me know, I think that would be a good job for Niki. She can take, take, take like no other! ZING!
Welcome back, please post daily/hourly until you find employment. The Internetz needs you.
I think you should move back to Springpatch, but hey that's just me! We could always use you round these parts. Not sure about jobs though, but hey, the cost of living is one of the lowest in the nation here! Let me know if you're planning on being around Halloween weekend. We're planning something and you'd be more than welcome to come.
Good luck with the job search. It's a stressful time but also one of opportunity...And if you do get a job with the GSA, just think of all the free cookies you'll get! Sweet!
I am glad to be back. Thanks for all the well-wishes. I will be sure to keep you in the loop with the job search!
