Best Sports Uniform?

A few days ago, I scanned several photos of Wrigley Field from a game back in 1988. That day the Cubs played the Montreal Expos. The Expos have since moved away, crossed the border, and transformed the organization into the Washington Nationals. I did get a kick out of the Expos' uniforms. During the late 1970s and into the 1980s, baseball teams tended to have light blue road jerseys complete with zippers. After scanning and posting the photos, I started looking at baseball cards. Then I started thinking:

What team has the best uniform (or jersey) in sports?

Initially, I thought about the Chicago Cubs' home jersey. Very classic, but I enjoyed the dark blue road jersey they wore during the 1980s. Then I started thinking about the bold fashion statement the Houston Astros made during the 1980s with their rainbow home jerseys.

I think all of the Chicago teams are fortunate to have visually appealing uniforms. The Cubs, White Sox, Bears, and Bulls all feature powerful colors and classic styles. However, by far, I think the Chicago Blackhawks' red jersey is the best uniform in sports. Perhaps it's not the most racially-sensitive with the large stylized Native American head on the front, but it truly makes a fashion statement.

What is your favorite sports uniform? It doesn't matter if it's professional, collegiate, or even a park and recreation league.

In the NCAA's I think Marquette's unis look really nice. Something a little different.

I also really like the changes the NHL made to the jerseys this year. Very Classy.

As far as obnoxious color combos that still look awesome, I don't think anyone can beat the Oakland A's of the 70's

All that facial hair on the A's gives it that extra touch.

Early Whale Uniforms were pretty sexy.
