Break out the brooms
This afternoon, a group of our friends gathered to celebrate a birthday party in south suburban Burbank. We found ourselves deep in the heart of White Sox country, so we assumed the second game of the Cubs/White Sox series would be on. We heard the fourth inning on the radio, so we knew significant damage was done. Once we arrived, we spent some time on the back patio eating a few snacks and having a few drinks.
Around 2:00 p.m., a freak hail storm ripped through and forced everyone to scatter. Most people headed for the garage. I told my fellow Cubs fan to head for the house and the television. While inside, we watched the remainder of the Cubs victory.
Let's get the sweep on Sunday night.
