Quest for 100 Losses: 1

The streak is over. The Chicago Cubs did not lose every road game to National League West opponents during the 2012 season. Despite trailing 2-1 after the first inning this afternoon, the Cubs rallied to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-2 at Chase Field in Arizona.

Even more important, the Cubs did not lose their 100th game. They'll be heading back to Wrigley Field to conclude the season with a three-game series against the Houston Astros. While the Astros have already lost more than 100 games, they did beat the Milwaukee Brewers this afternoon. Of course, the Cubs will need to sweep the series which begins on Monday to conclude the season with double digit losses.

The Cubs lost the first two games to the Astros, so they now have 101 losses.
