No more Ovaltine, I guess

A few days ago, I posted a blog about the old Ovaltine factory smokestack in Villa Park. Earlier this week, the Village Park Board decided that the cost of maintenance for 10 to 15 year period was not worth the effort. They authorized Lincoln Properties, the owners of the apartment complex and smokestack to begin demolition.

5) How sad. Is there no preservation society that will ride in on a white horse and save it?
6) At least we will have a beautiful photo of it before then. Alas, it is another victim of the economy and progress.
