My Sixth Presidential Election

When I cast my vote this morning, that was the sixth time I was eligible to vote for President of the United States. My first presidential election was in 1992, back when I was a student at Elmhurst College. That was Bill Clinton vs. George H. W. Bush.

I posed this question back in 2008, but do you remember the first presidential election you followed? The first election I remember was 1980 when Ronald Reagan defeated Jimmy Carter.

Bill the first pre sidential election that I participated in was in 1964 when Lyndon Billions Johnson (wanting to be King) defeated Barry Goldwater, one of the original Conservative Thinkers. I am proud to say that I voted for Goldwater in that one because I could see in the future and see what kind of social type programs were in the offing.

People voted enmasse for LBJ as a reaction to the fact that he was VP when JFK was killed in Dallas.

My first was Clinton in 92. I was at college as well. But I remember the one in 88 when I was in HS.

My first vote was for George McGovern in '72 but my first election memory was 1960 Kennedy/Nixon election. Proud to say my parents were Kennedy supporters. I was 8 years old. That's pretty cool that I remember that!
