College Football, Part IIAt the beginning of September, I posted a blog stating that I don't follow college football muchwellat all. Sometimes on a Saturday I'll throw a game on as background noise. And I do watch the bowl games. Baseball means so much more to me than any other sport. Football ranks a distant second, but I'm really referring to the NFL and not the collegiate game.
Oddly enough, I've made more college football references online than I imagined over the course of the last several months. My alma mater, Elmhurst College, pieced together a spectacular season losing only one game to conference rival North Central College (Naperville, IL). The Elmhurst College Bluejays advanced to the Division III tournament first the first time in school history. They won their first round game against Coe College (Cedar Rapids, IA), 27-24.
Tomorrow I am going to a college football game. No, I'm not making the trek to Minnesota to watch the Bluejays play their second round game against the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN). I'm going with a group to Evanston to watch Northwestern play the University of Illinois in Big 10 action.
