Social Media Policy and The Hobbit

Last night, Susan and I were able to see an advance screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. One of our friends was able to score four free tickets two nights before the film's official opening. That was first advance screening since I saw George Clooney's Batman and Robin ages ago.

Walking into the theater, I thought I was passing through airport security. OK, it wasn't that intense as a TSA search, but it was more involved than a regular film. After locating our seats, the theater went dark and a quick 3D trailer played. Following the trailer, we were informed that we could not share our thoughts about The Hobbit using any form of social media until the film's Friday release.

Very well. I'll honor that, but wait until Friday.
