Team Game: 12 Down, 18 to Go

At this time of year, you never know how many good weather days are left on the calendar. Snow doesn't fall in Chicago this early in October, but wind gusts can have a winter wallop. Since last weekend, the mornings have been cool and crisp while the days have been warm. Welcome to fall in the Midwest. When I stepped out for work the last two days, I grabbed my jacket. On Monday I didn't get a chance to step outside for lunch, so I made sure that I did today. I'm glad I did.

My quest to locate every Major League Baseball logo as part of my Team Game has been stalled lately. A few weeks ago, I did spot a Los Angeles Dodgers logo on a car while on the Eisenhower Expressway, but I couldn't grab my camera in time. Don't worry, I wasn't driving. No photographic evidence, no update. That's how this game is played.

At lunch today, right in front of the Merchandise Mart, I spotted a team logo. A sort of bonus logo too. Not only did I spot an extremely weather-battered San Francisco Giants logo, it was also a 2010 World Series Championship logo.







That's another find for the National League. That gives the Senior Circuit a commanding four-team lead over the Junior Circuit.
