So long Tiger Stadium
I'm sure today is one filled with mixed emotions for all Detroit Tigers fans. The demolition of Tiger Stadium has begun. I work with a woman who grew up in Detroit. Even though she converted and became a White Sox fan when she moved to the Chicago suburbs, she said she still had great memories of Tiger Stadium.

1) Sad, but necessary. I hope they can leave a part of it standing, though, as a memorial, since that plot of land is home to so much baseball history. Frankly I don't see that corner being a hot area for condos in the next couple of decades, so I'm not sure how the city plans to redevelop it.
