My 2014 MLB Postseason Predictions

Yesterday, Major League Baseball's postseason picture came into focus. No tiebreakers are needed this year, though I'll confess that I was hoping for bonus baseball on Monday night. That being said, all 162 games were needed to determine division winners in the AL Central (Detroit Tigers) and NL Central (St. Louis Cardinals), and second AL wild card slot (Oakland Athletics). So before a single postseason pitch is thrown, here are my predictions for the postseason.

Oakland Athletics (88-74) vs. Kansas City Royals (89-73)
Winner: Kansas City Royals

American League Division Series 1
Kansas City Royals (89-73) vs. Los Angeles Angels (98-64)
Winner: Los Angeles Angels

American League Division Series 2
Detroit Tigers (90-72) vs. Baltimore Orioles (96-66)
Winner: Baltimore Orioles

American League Championship Series
Los Angeles Angels (98-64) vs. Baltimore Orioles (96-66)
Winner: Los Angeles Angels

National League Wild Card
San Francisco Giants (88-74) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (88-74)
