MLB 2015 Game #4: White Sox vs. BrewersBefore the season started, I could not foresee a fall classic between the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. There were far too many uncertainties on both teams. With slightly more than one month in the books, it's even more certain than neither team will be waving their respective league's pennants.
As I walk into Miller Park for the first time since mid-September, I will brace myself for my first interleague game of the season. The White Sox (12-16 / .429 / 6 GB) are in fourth place in the American League Central and trail the defending AL-pennant winning Kansas City Royals. The Brewers (11-21 / .344 / 11.5 GB) are buried at the bottom of the National League Central. If not for taking two of three against the Chicago Cubs this weekend, the Brewers would own the worst record in baseball.
Tonight, the White Sox are sending Jeff Samardzija (2-2, 4.38 ERA) to the mound. During his last outing, Samardzija picked up the win against the Detroit Tigers and surrendered seven hits over the course of seven innings. The Brewers are countering with Wily Peralta (1-4, 3.92). While one collecting one win so far this season, it come during his last start against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He pitched eight innings and surrendered seven hits.
