Worthless Baseball Cards

Do you have boxes of old baseball cards stashed in your basement? Perhaps your parent's basement? If so, I am sure you have two collections. One collection features all of your good cards. The other set has...well...these cards:

Enjoy!

1) Hey, take it easy on Schofield. He went to my high school.

2) I finally tossed out all of my worthless cards a few months ago. It was hard to do, but you can only hold on to boxes upon boxes of worthless late-80s to early 90s cards for so long.

3) Yup. I never accumulated that many 'good' cards to have a separate collection.

4) Somewhere in the bottom of a North Carolina landfill there is a box of my Mickey Mantle, Yogi Bera, Bob Feller, PeeWee Reese. Lou Gehrig baseball cards that my parents threw out.

5) I had a few of those too, Nancy. I know Mickey Mantle but I don't remember any of the rest. I can remember us trading them around in 2nd grade. After that--no clue.

I have regrets about a stack of Beatle cards similar to baseball cards too. I think the stack was 5-6 tall. It was given to me by another girl who collected them and outgrew them. I bet they would be worth a few cents now!

6) When Steve and I were in Cooperstown, New York, recently, we saw a sign in a window of a store that said "We have all those baseball cards that your mother threw out!"
